Color-Matched Molded Nylon Head

The nylon head is molded around the metal hex head to provide a durable colored exterior. It can be matched to roofing sheets, wall panels and other coated metal components using specified RAL colors or customer color samples.

Compared with surface painting alone, a molded nylon head provides a thicker colored covering over the metal screw head. Actual UV resistance, color stability and service life depend on the selected nylon material, additives and exposure conditions.

Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Options

Carbon Steel C1022 Roofing Screws

Heat-treated carbon steel C1022 provides good drill-point hardness and fastening performance. Zinc plating, Ruspert, Dacromet and customized coatings are available for different corrosion-resistance requirements.

SS410 Drilling Screws

SS410 provides a combination of drilling hardness and corrosion resistance. It can be selected for roofing and cladding applications requiring better corrosion performance than conventional plated carbon steel.

Bi-Metal Options

For applications requiring both corrosion resistance and strong steel-drilling performance, a bi-metal construction may be considered. The exact material combination and performance requirements should be confirmed before production.

EPDM Sealing Washer Options

These screws can be assembled with EPDM washers or metal bonded EPDM washers. When compressed correctly, the washer helps seal the fixing point and reduce water penetration around the screw.

Washer diameter, EPDM thickness, hardness, color and metal backing material can be customized according to the roofing system and customer requirements.

RAL Colors and Customization

Standard RAL colors and customized colors can be supplied according to order quantity. Customers should provide the required RAL code or an approved physical color sample before mass production.

Color approval should be completed before production because small color differences may occur between nylon batches, computer screens, printed color cards and coated metal panels.

Available Sizes and Drill Points

Common diameters include 4.8mm, 5.5mm and 6.3mm. Standard, long-length and customized screws can be manufactured according to the panel profile, insulation thickness, steel support thickness and installation requirements.
